Last week, on September 30, we celebrated International Translation Day. To mark the occasion, Germany’s Association of Conference Interpreters, aka VKD decided to run the VKD4Trees tree-planting project: the association will plant a climate-saving tree for every 5 km we VKD members covered between September 22 and 29.
Naturally, I wanted to actively engage in climate protection, so I accepted the challenge. I covered a total of 64 km, which equals 12 trees.
All in all, we VKD members contributed a phenomenal 212 trees - a small forest, really.
What a great project that I was more than happy to support!
